step 1 Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. /n
step 2 Spread pretzels evenly on the prepared baking sheet. /n
step 3 In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter, then stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. /n
step 4 Bring the mixture to a gentle boil and cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring constantly. /n
step 5 Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and baking soda (mixture will foam). /n
step 6 Immediately pour caramel over pretzels and toss to coat evenly. /n
step 7 Bake for 10–15 minutes, stirring halfway through. /n
step 8 Remove from oven and let cool completely until caramel hardens. /n
step 9 Break apart and serve.
