The body of Agathe, the jogger who went missing in Vienne, was found in the undergrowth

On May 4, a hiker discovered a body in a wooded area on the edge of the initially searched area. The Poitiers prosecutor’s office confirmed the information to BFMTV and France 3 Régions. Public prosecutor Cyril Lacombe stated that the body had been found “in a wooded area on the edge of the search area.” An autopsy confirmed that the body was that of Agathe Hilairet. However, initial examinations revealed no signs of injury or obvious signs of violence. Toxicological and additional analyses are underway to try to clarify the cause of her death.

A discreet and creative young woman

Agathe was passionate about running, but also about visual arts, embroidery, and drawing. She had been fighting a long battle with anorexia, a reality she openly discussed on social media. Her loved ones describe her as sensitive, determined, and very supportive of her family.  On sick leave for several weeks , she had moved in with her parents to rest.
