Step 1 Wash and thoroughly dry the romaine lettuce, then finely shred it into thin ribbons and place in a large mixing bowl. /n

Step 3 In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, sea salt, and black pepper until well combined. /n

Storage and Reheating Tips

Maroulosalata is best enjoyed fresh, as the lettuce can wilt once dressed. If preparing ahead, store the shredded lettuce and herbs separately from the dressing and feta in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Toss with dressing just before serving. This salad is not suitable for reheating.
