Ultimate Pepperoni Mozzarella Pizza Burger

Instructions
Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, then form into 4 equal-sized patties.

Step 2: Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through and browned on the outside.

Step 3: During the last minute of cooking, spoon about 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce over each patty, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Cover the pan briefly to melt the cheese.

Step 4: While the patties cook, lightly toast the burger buns.

Step 5: Place each patty on a bun bottom, top with 3 slices of pepperoni, and an extra drizzle of pizza sauce if desired. Add optional garnishes like red pepper flakes or fresh basil. Close with the top bun.

Storage Information
Store leftover cooked patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave until warmed through. It’s best to assemble the burgers fresh before serving to maintain the best texture.
