Stress, an invisible enemy
Few people know this, but stress can literally “drive you crazy”… literally! It sometimes triggers itchy rashes without any visible cause, especially on the arms, back, or neck. It’s almost as if your skin is expressing what your mind is keeping to itself. In these cases, relaxation, meditation, or even a nice walk can have miraculous effects.

When should you worry?
A sign of a dermatological problem
Eczema, psoriasis, hives… If itching is recurrent, accompanied by plaques, crusts, or flaking, it’s time to see a dermatologist. These chronic conditions often require medical monitoring and appropriate treatment.
A deeper warning signal
In rare cases, persistent itching with no visible signs on the skin may be a symptom of an internal disorder: liver disease, kidney failure, diabetes, or thyroid problems. This is especially true if it’s symmetrical and occurs at night. A simple blood test can help clarify the situation.
The right reflexes for quick relief
- Hydration : Apply a rich cream every day, especially after showering.
- Lukewarm showers : Avoid hot water which worsens dryness.
- Soft clothing : Choose cotton and avoid synthetic fabrics or wool in direct contact.
- Balanced diet : Healthy skin starts on the plate (vitamins A, C, E, omega-3).
- Avoid scratching! This only aggravates inflammation and weakens the skin.
