A new family is formed

Deeply moved, Adam decided to adopt the two dogs.  His partner, Clara , wasn’t thrilled at first. Two dogs at home was much more responsibility than expected. But she eventually gave in, moved by the story and especially by the unbreakable bond between the two animals.

Little by little, their apartment became a home. Max gained weight, Rufus continued his daily rounds of the garden, like  an old guard faithful to his post . And Adam discovered a mission: to offer a new chance to those whom life had left behind.

A lesson in loyalty and humanity

What Rufus showed the world was that loyalty knows no death or despair. He didn’t give up. He didn’t wait for help. He cared for his brother, alone, day after day.

The story of Adam, Rufus and Max is that of thousands of forgotten animals, but also that of an outstretched hand, a gaze that stops, and a heart that chooses to act.
