Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
Step 2: In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease.
Step 3: Prepare the country gravy mix according to package instructions using 2 cups of milk. Stir in the cooked sausage.
Step 4: Spread the thawed hashbrowns evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
Step 5: Pour the sausage gravy over the hashbrowns. Stir lightly to combine.
Step 6: Arrange the biscuits on top of the casserole. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.
Step 7: Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden and cooked through.
Step 8: Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Optional: garnish with chopped parsley.
Storage Information
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Reheat individual portions in the microwave or bake covered at 325°F (163°C) until warmed through. This casserole also freezes well—wrap tightly and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.
