Cheesy Garlic Shrimp Wonton Cups

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly oil a 24-cup mini muffin tin.

Step 2: Press one wonton wrapper into each muffin cup, creating a cup shape. Lightly spray or brush with cooking spray and bake for 5 minutes until slightly crispy. Remove and set aside.

Step 3: Chop the shrimp into small, bite-sized pieces and set aside.

Step 4: In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan until well mixed.

Step 5: Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 6: Add the chopped shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until just cooked through. Season with Old Bay, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.

Step 7: Fold the cooked shrimp mixture into the cheese mixture until evenly combined.

Step 8: Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the filling into each wonton cup. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the tops are golden and cheese is bubbly.

Step 9: Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh chopped chives. Serve warm.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store leftover wonton cups in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. These are best enjoyed fresh, but they reheat beautifully.

To reheat, place them on a baking sheet and warm in a 350 degree oven for about 5 minutes until heated through and the wonton wrappers are crispy again.

You can also assemble these cups ahead of time, refrigerate them unbaked, and pop them in the oven when guests arrive for the freshest presentation.
