Instructions
Step 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Step 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and creamy.
Step 4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Step 6. Fold in the chocolate chips and chocolate chunks evenly throughout the dough.
Step 7. Scoop large portions of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
Step 8. Bake for 10–13 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft.
Step 9. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Step 10. Serve warm or store for later enjoyment.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
For longer storage, freeze the baked cookies in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months.
To reheat, microwave a cookie for 10–15 seconds to make the chocolate soft and gooey again.
You can also freeze portions of cookie dough and bake fresh cookies whenever needed.
