Instructions:
step 1 Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
step 2 In a large bowl, gently mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Do not overmix.
step 3 Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties slightly wider than the buns.
step 4 Press a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during grilling.
step 5 Grill patties for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached.
step 6 If using cheese, add slices during the last minute of grilling and close the lid to melt.
step 7 Toast the buns lightly on the grill for 1–2 minutes.
step 8 Assemble burgers by layering arugula, grilled patties, pickles, tomato slices, and your preferred condiments on the buns.
Storage and Reheating Tips:
Store leftover cooked patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat or in the microwave. Assemble fresh with new buns and toppings for best results.
