Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions.
Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Step 3: In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Step 4: Combine the wet and dry ingredients and stir until just blended.
Step 5: Lightly grease the waffle iron and pour a layer of batter onto it.
Step 6: Add a layer of whipped cream or cream cheese filling and sprinkle crushed cookies over it.
Step 7: Cover with a bit more batter and close the waffle iron.
Step 8: Cook until the waffles are crisp and fully cooked through.
Step 9: Carefully remove and stack the waffles.
Step 10: Top with additional whipped cream and more crushed cookies before serving.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover waffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a toaster or oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through and crisp. For longer storage, freeze for up to 1 month and reheat directly from frozen.
