Crispy Creamy Shrimp Rolls

Instructions

Step 1: In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, soy sauce, and sesame oil until smooth.

Step 2: Stir in minced garlic, ginger, and green onions. Season with salt and white pepper to taste.

Step 3: Place a wonton wrapper on a flat surface and spoon about 1 tablespoon of filling into the center.

Step 4: Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold and seal into a triangle.

Step 5: Place a shrimp on top of each wrapper and fold the sides up and over the shrimp, creating a roll.

Step 6: Heat oil in a deep pan to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 7: Carefully place rolls into hot oil and fry for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

Step 8: Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Step 9: For the dipping sauce, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, dill, and lemon juice.

Step 10: Arrange fried rolls on a serving platter, garnish with fresh chives, and serve immediately with the dipping sauce.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store leftover shrimp rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. They’re best enjoyed fresh, but can be reheated gently.

To reheat, place rolls in a 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 5 to 7 minutes until warmed through and crispy again. Avoid using the microwave, as it will make them soggy.

You can also freeze uncooked rolls for up to 1 month. Fry directly from frozen, adding an extra minute or two to the cooking time.
