French Fries Recipe

Instructions:
Step 1: Peel the potatoes and cut them into uniform sticks, about 1 cm thick.
Step 2: Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
Step 3: Drain and pat the fries completely dry using paper towels or a clean kitchen cloth.
Step 4: Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 160°C (320°F).
Step 5: Fry the potatoes in batches for 4-5 minutes until they are soft but not browned. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Step 6: Increase the oil temperature to 190°C (375°F).
Step 7: Return the fries to the hot oil in batches and fry again until golden brown and crispy.
Step 8: Remove from oil, drain, and season immediately with salt and optional paprika or chip spice.

Storage and Reheating Tips:
Store cooled fries in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer at 200°C (390°F) for 5-10 minutes to restore crispiness. Avoid microwaving as it makes them soggy.
