Instructions

Step 1 Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper./n
Step 2 In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy./n
Step 3 Add flour and salt, mixing until a crumbly dough forms./n
Step 4 Press most of the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan, reserving some for the topping./n
Step 5 In another bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, and lemon zest./n
Step 6 Pour the lemon mixture over the crust and spread evenly./n
Step 7 Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the top./n
Step 8 Bake for 25–30 minutes or until lightly golden.
Step 9 Allow to cool completely before mixing powdered sugar and lemon juice to create a glaze./n
Step 10 Drizzle the glaze over the bars, let set, then slice and serve.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days. For best texture, allow chilled bars to come to room temperature before serving. These bars can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
