Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Season the steak generously with salt, pepper, and olive oil. Rub in minced garlic if using.
Step 2: Grill the steak for 4–6 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness. Remove from grill and let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
Step 3: While the steak rests, combine the cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and fresh basil in a bowl.
Step 4: Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin strips and arrange on a serving platter.
Step 5: Spoon the tomato-mozzarella-basil mixture over the steak. Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.
Storage Information
Store any leftover steak and Caprese topping separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat steak gently in a skillet or enjoy cold in a salad.
