Instructions
Step 1: Cook the rotini pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool.
Step 2: Transfer the cooled pasta to a large mixing bowl.
Step 3: Add cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, olives, mozzarella, and salami.
Step 4: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Step 5: Pour the dressing over the pasta mixture and toss until evenly coated.
Step 6: Add chopped fresh basil and gently mix.
Step 7: Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Step 8: Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
Step 9: Serve cold or at room temperature.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Stir before serving as dressing may settle at the bottom.
Add a drizzle of olive oil if it seems dry after storage.
This dish is best served cold and does not require reheating.
