Instructions
Step 1: Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds.
Step 2: Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until fully browned. Drain any excess fat.
Step 3: Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, rice vinegar, and ginger. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
Step 4: Add cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens and coats the beef, about 2 minutes.
Step 5: Toast buns and spoon the beef mixture generously onto the bottoms. Top with green onions and any optional toppings.
Step 6: Serve hot and enjoy!
Storage Information
Store leftover beef mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat on the stovetop or microwave before serving. Beef mixture can also be frozen for up to 2 months—thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.
