Loose Meat Tavern Sandwich

Instructions:
Step 1: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add diced onion and garlic, and sauté until soft and fragrant.

Step 2: Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up into crumbles. Drain any excess grease.

Step 3: Stir in white cooking wine and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until most of the liquid has evaporated.

Step 4: Spoon the hot loose meat mixture into sliced hoagie rolls. Top each with shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 5: Place sandwiches on a baking sheet and broil for 2–3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 6: Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.

Storage Information:
Store any leftover meat mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave and assemble fresh sandwiches before serving.
