Instructions

Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

Step 2: Add the melted butter, egg, and warm water and mix until a dough forms.

Step 3: Knead the dough for 5 to 7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Step 9: In a shallow bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon.

Step 10: Sprinkle or coat the warm bunuelos with cinnamon sugar.

Step 11: Dust lightly with powdered sugar before serving if desired.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store bunuelos in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

To maintain crispiness, reheat in the oven at 300°F (150°C) for a few minutes.
