Pepper Steak and Fries

Instructions

Step 1: In a bowl, season the beef strips with salt, black pepper, paprika, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Let the beef marinate for 15 minutes.

Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Step 3: Add the beef strips and cook for 3–4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Step 4: In the same skillet, add the sliced onions, bell peppers, and minced garlic. Sauté for 4–5 minutes until slightly tender.

Step 5: Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and brown sugar.

Step 6: Stir everything together and cook for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.

Step 7: Cook the French fries according to package instructions or fry fresh potato strips in hot oil until golden and crispy.

Step 8: Serve the pepper steak hot alongside the crispy fries.

Step 9: Enjoy immediately while the beef is tender and the fries are crisp.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store leftover pepper steak and fries separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat the pepper steak in a skillet over medium heat until warmed through. Add a splash of beef broth if needed to loosen the sauce.

Reheat fries in an oven or air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 5–8 minutes to restore crispiness. Avoid microwaving fries, as they may become soft.
