Step 1 Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 3 Stir in the mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, until they release their moisture and begin to brown.

Step 4 Add minced garlic and cook for another 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 5 Season with salt, black pepper, and soy sauce if using.

Step 6 Continue cooking until mushrooms are golden and onions are deeply caramelized.

Step 7 Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh herbs if desired.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat or microwave until warmed through. Add a small amount of butter or oil when reheating to restore flavor and texture.
