step 1 In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
step 2 Form the mixture into 4–6 thick patties.
step 3 Place sliced mushrooms in the bottom of the slow cooker, then lay the beef patties on top.
step 4 In a separate bowl, whisk together the gravy mix with water until smooth. Pour over the patties and mushrooms.
step 5 Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until patties are cooked through and tender.
step 6 Serve warm over mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice. Spoon gravy and mushrooms over the top and garnish with parsley if desired.
Storage and Reheating Tips.
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium-low heat or in the microwave until warmed through. For freezing, cool completely, then store in freezer-safe containers for up to 2 months.
