Soft and Chewy Banana Bread Cookies

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 3: Add the mashed bananas, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

Step 5: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms. Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if using.

Step 6: Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, flattening each slightly with the back of a fork.

Step 7: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Storage Information:
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. For longer storage, freeze them in a zip-top bag for up to 2 months.
