Instructions
Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
Step 2: Add the thawed peas, chopped hard-boiled eggs, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and green onions to the bowl.
Step 3: Gently fold everything together until well combined and coated in the dressing.
Step 4: Cover and refrigerate the salad for at least 1 hour to chill and let the flavors meld.
Step 5: Before serving, garnish with additional egg slices, a sprinkle of paprika, and extra green onions if desired.
Storage Information
Store Southern Pea Salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir gently before serving if it has been sitting. Not recommended for freezing as the texture of the peas and creamy dressing will change.
