Sticky Garlic Chicken with Rice & Broccoli

Instructions

step 1 Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then toss with cornstarch until lightly coated.
step 2 Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes, turning to brown all sides until cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
step 3 In the same skillet, combine soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce (if using), garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer.
step 4 Stir in the cornstarch slurry and continue simmering until sauce thickens to a sticky glaze, about 2-3 minutes.
step 5 Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat in the sticky garlic sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes until fully glazed.
step 6 Meanwhile, steam broccoli florets in a steamer or microwave with a splash of water and a pinch of salt until tender but still bright green, about 4-5 minutes.
step 7 Serve sticky garlic chicken over a bed of rice with steamed broccoli on the side. Garnish with chopped chives or green onions.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat chicken and sauce in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of water if needed. Rice and broccoli can be reheated in the microwave or in a covered pan until warmed through.
