Stuffed Shells with Meat and Cheese

Instructions

Step 1 Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2 Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
Step 3 Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté onion until soft.
Step 4 Add garlic and cook for another minute, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
Step 5 Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Step 6 In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, and the cooked beef mixture.
Step 7 Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
Step 8 Stuff each shell with the prepared filling and arrange them in the dish.
Step 9 Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells.
Step 10 Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
Step 11 Bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Step 12 Let cool slightly before serving.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the oven at 180°C (350°F) until warmed through, or microwave individual portions. This dish can also be frozen for up to 2 months; thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
