Instructions
Step 1: Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
Step 2: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter, then sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms until softened and browned.
Step 3: Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir well to coat. Cook for 1 minute to remove the raw flour taste.
Step 4: Slowly add beef broth, stirring constantly. Then add heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
Step 5: Return the steaks to the pan and spoon the gravy over them. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes to absorb flavors.
Step 6: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with your favorite side.
Storage Information
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave. This dish is freezer-friendly; store in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months.
