Instructions
Step 1 Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a baking tray. /n
Step 2 Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture for extra crispiness. /n
Step 3 In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, and cayenne pepper until evenly coated. /n
Step 4 Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are not overcrowded. /n
Step 5 Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy. /n
Step 6 While the wings are baking, mix the barbecue sauce, honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan over medium heat and simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened. /n
Step 7 Remove the wings from the oven and brush them generously with the prepared glaze. /n
Step 8 Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes until the glaze is caramelized and sticky.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover chicken wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, place them in a preheated 375°F (190°C) oven for 10–15 minutes until heated through and crispy again. You can also reheat them in an air fryer at 375°F for 5–7 minutes. Avoid microwaving if possible, as it may make the wings soggy.
