Instructions
Step 1. Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
/n Step 2. Divide the ground beef into eight small portions and form thin patties.
/n Step 3. Season the patties with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
/n Step 4. Place the patties on the hot skillet and cook for about 2–3 minutes until a crust forms.
/n Step 5. Flip each patty and immediately place a slice of cheese on top, cooking another 1–2 minutes until melted.
/n Step 6. Lightly toast the burger buns on the skillet until golden.
/n Step 7. Spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard on the bottom bun.
/n Step 8. Place one cheeseburger patty on the bun followed by a second patty to create the double stack.
/n Step 9. Add fresh lettuce on top of the patties.
/n Step 10. Close the burger with the top bun and serve immediately.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover burger patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat the patties in a skillet over medium heat for a few minutes until warmed through. Toast fresh buns and assemble the burger after reheating for the best flavor and texture.
