Instructions
Step 1: Wash, peel if desired, and cut the potatoes into French fry strips. Soak them in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat completely dry.
Step 2: Toss the fries with vegetable oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Step 3: Bake the fries in a preheated 425°F (220°C) oven for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy. Alternatively, air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 18–22 minutes.
Step 4: While the fries cook, pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels and season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
Step 5: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.
Step 6: Add the steak bites in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Work in batches if necessary.
Step 7: Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet.
Step 8: Stir in the minced garlic and thyme, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 9: Add the Worcestershire sauce and toss the steak bites to coat them evenly in the garlic butter mixture.
Step 10: Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
Step 11: Arrange the crispy fries on a serving platter or plate and top with the garlic butter steak bites.
Step 12: Serve immediately while hot.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover steak bites and fries separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat the steak bites in a skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes until warmed through.
Reheat the fries in an oven or air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 5–8 minutes to restore crispiness.
Avoid microwaving the fries, as they can become soft and lose their crunchy texture.
Freeze cooked steak bites for up to 2 months in a freezer-safe container. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
